Dr. John Madej is of Polish descent. After his graduation, he worked as a faculty member of the most prestigious Medical School in Warsaw, Poland. Part of his postgraduate training was done in London and Oxford, England. He was brought to the U.S. through a scholarship in 1992 and was offered a position at the University of California, San Francisco.
His residency in Internal Medicine was completed in 2000 at Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine, after which he came back to Northern California and opened a private practice. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
Dr Madej received a World Health Organization scholarship, UCSF scholarship, Physician of the Year Award, and was nominated by his patients for the Man of the Year Award.
Dr Madej’s success comes from his unique approach to his patients' well-being. He cares for each patient like his friend or family memeber. He believes that each patient has the right to see the doctor or his assistant the same day, if he is sick and requires immediate attention. He will often stay after working hours to make sure that everyone is seen. He will treat you, care about you, advise you, and if needed, will always try to find the best specialist for you. He believes in the best in everything. His cell phone is never turned off after working hours or during the night. Patients know that they can call their physician and he will answer the phone when they need him. He would not be able to succeed without the support which he gets from his wife, who is a nurse, 3 children and very helpful staff.
He loves preventive medicine and doesn't like any surprises in the health of his patients. He likes technology, so you will not see paper charts in his office.
